HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — The Hampton Police Division said they are searching for suspects involved in a shooting on West Mercury Boulevard that left three people injured.

Hampton Police said the three victims were suffering from injuries “consistent with gunshot wounds,” and are seeking suspects in connection to what they are calling a maiming. They said they responded to the shooting outside the Pit Stop convenience store and Exxon gas station on West Mercury Boulevard around 6:47 p.m.

Hampton Police released images of the suspects and suspect vehicle on X, formerly known as Twitter, which can be found below:

“Officers arrived and located three individuals we know to be two males and a female in the parking lot,” said MPO Joshua Dye. “All were suffering from injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. Members of the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue arrived and transported the victims to a local hospital in an unknown condition.”

The Hampton Police Major Crimes Unit are investigating the shooting.

Alexis Coleman said she comes to the gas station often.

“I frequent this gas station, so to come to this gas station, I could have been here with my daughter,” said Hampton resident Alexis Coleman, “going in there with my mom. I look over at it, and I’m hearing shots.”

There was a heavy police presence at the scene Tuesday evening, and 10 On Your Side reporter Markeshia Jackson confirmed at least a dozen shell casings on the ground outside the convenience store, located on the corner of West Mercury Boulevard and North Armistead Avenue.

This was the fourth shooting incident in Hampton since Friday. Two of the cases were deadly.

Hampton Police are also trying to solve Friday’s homicide on Chamberlin Avenue, where a 48-year-old man was shot to death. Then, on Saturday, police said a 20-year-old man was shot and killed on Orcutt Avenue. Sunday, a man walked into the hospital in Hampton with a graze wound; police later confirmed he had been shot on Lynnhaven Drive.
