HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – The Hampton Police Division is searching for a suspect in connection with a shooting Sunday morning.
According to officials, just before 1:30 a.m., an officer was advised of a walk-in gunshot victim at the Sentara Careplex Hospital. The officer then made contact with the adult male victim, who was found to have a non life-threatening gunshot wound.
An investigation revealed that while the victim was leaving a friends house on the 200 block of Lynnhaven Drive, he heard a gunshot and then noticed he had a graze gunshot wound.
The victim was then transferred to the hospital by an Uber.
The incident remains under investigation.
