Our stretch of flawless fall-like weather comes to an end today and our summer heat makes a triumphant return this week, so let’s take advantage of the low humidity and sunshine in store for Hampton Roads today.

The big area of high pressure in control keeps this dry today, so expect bright sunshine and high temperatures near 80°. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s and low 80s are more similar to late September and early October!

All good things must come to an end… the typical summer heat returns this week. Highs approach 90° Monday as the sunshine holds. Then as the week goes on, afternoon high temperatures should be on either side of 90°.

The summer humidity will also make it’s return… we’ll transition on Monday so it shouldn’t feel too sticky, but as the Tuesday and Wednesday rolls around, humidity values climb back to typical August standards. This will likely make our afternoons between Tuesday and Friday this week feel around 95°.

Rain chances still remain pretty slim over the next seven days or so… there’s chance at a few passing downpours late Monday night, with a couple afternoon pop-up downpours possible Tuesday through Thursday. Otherwise, things look pretty dry this week, just becoming hot & humid!

Tropics continue to remain quiet over the next week or so… enjoy the remainder of the weekend before we get back to it Monday!
