It has been 11 days since we have seen measurable rainfall in Hampton Roads. While we have seen it rain twice this month, only a trace fell. So just enough to get the ground wet, or to make your car look dirty.
The storm system we have been tracking all week is coming in right on time tonight and will push in light rain overnight, continuing into the day tomorrow. Microcast does indicate some sort of break around midday tomorrow, but it doesn’t look likely that it will stay dry for long with another round coming in the afternoon.
You can see how many hours it will be raining versus how many dry hours we have on Future Trak. If it’s dry, it won’t last long. Also, its going to be cold tomorrow. One thing I have never cared for is a cold/rainy day. Its good if you need to bust a drought, but right now we don’t have a drought, and are far from developing one.
We won’t get a ton of rain Monday, but a decent amount.
Going back to the Future Trak, Tuesday looks to be mostly cloudy and dry around lunch time. With that, warm air will push in from the south surging our temps into the upper 60s! Rain will return on Tuesday night and then move out Wednesday morning. For Valentine’s Day, we’re looking at a mild day with sunny skies.
Have a great week!
