CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) temporarily closed the North Landing Bridge to traffic on Thursday.

The bridge was expected to be closed on Nov. 21 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. for emergency repairs. USACE did not expand on what the repairs are. The City of Chesapeake confirmed repairs were completed and the bridge reopened shortly before 2 p.m.

A marked detour was in place throughout the closure.
