CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A 21-year-old man from Chesapeake was killed on Thursday morning in a crash on I-64 near the Bowers Hill Interchange in Chesapeake.
According to Virginia State Police, Sulaiman Aziz Little was traveling at a high rate of speed on a motorcycle while maneuvering in and out of traffic. As he was driving up along the shoulder lane, he attempted to make a right lane change into the lane of travel.
He struck the attenuator and was ejected off of the motorcycle. Police say he was then struck by two vehicles and died at the scene.
The crash happened around 6:40 a.m. at exit 299. Police closed all eastbound lanes and temporarily been detoured prior to Military Highway. VDOT announced at 10:10 a.m. that all lanes had reopened.
Authorities say that Little did not have a motorcycle endorsement on his operator’s license.
