HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – The eastbound lanes at the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel have reopened Monday afternoon after being closed for about three hours due to emergency road work.

Starting around 1 p.m., the eastbound lanes of the HRBT were closed for work on the Willoughby Bay Bridge. They reopened around 4:10 p.m.

Traffic was being diverted at Settlers Landing Road in Hampton.

Officials said the closure will remain in place until crews are able to remove an overhead sign structure.
