The PGA Tour's first full-field “regular” event was this week with the Sony Open in Hawaii at Waialae Country Club, which has hosted the Tour for nearly 60 years.

Again, only the top 100 on the FedEx Cup points list are assured Tour cards for 2026, so the urgency week-to-week will be ratcheted up just a bit more.

But Nick Taylor isn’t worrying about that, winning for the third consecutive season by taking the Sony Open in a playoff over Nico Echavarria. It was his fifth Tour win overall, he’s also now a perfect 3-0 in playoffs.
