(NEXSTAR) – The next stop for NASCAR drivers is Las Vegas. Four drivers were eliminated last Sunday at the Roval 400 NASCAR Cup Series in Charlotte. Now, the remaining drivers head west where the top eight drivers are trying to make it to the finals.

Kyle Larson leads the pack followed by Christopher Bell, Tyler Reddick and William Byron.

Larson says he’s looking forward to the next race, “I would love to go there and win. And kind of know that you’re racing for a championship. The two times that I’ve gotten to be in the Final Four we’ve won the opening race. Would love to do that next week, but obviously really, really tough.”

Denny Hamlin had a rough race, “When we look at how the track is laid out, we haven’t had that all out speed that we’ve seen in years past. Still, I haven’t gone to the racetrack any weekend and thought, ‘My car wasn’t incapable of winning.’ We just haven’t done it.”  Hamlin isn’t out of the running yet if he does well in Las Vegas and in Phoenix.

It’s also Navy Week, so there will be an all-star performance by the Navy band, a jump by the Navy Parachute team and the national anthem will be performed by a naval singer.

Olympic silver medalist Katie Grimes will drive the pace car.
