NORFOLK (WAVY) – Coming off a 3-8 season in 2023, the Norfolk State football team isn’t starting the 2024 season with an easy game by any means. The Spartans will face defending celebration bowl champions FAMU in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge game in Atlanta.

Kickoff is Saturday, August 24th at 7:30 P.M. on ABC/ESPN.

“You’re only as good as your next play, and we had to sit on that all offseason,” fourth year head coach Dawson Odums said. “I believe these guys worked their butt off to become a better football team…. but we haven’t been tested. We haven’t faced any adversity.”
