Banana Ball will return to Harbor Park in 2025

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Banana Ball will be returning to Harbor Park in 2025.

The home of the Norfolk Tides will host a three-game set between the Firefighters and the Party Animals from July 24-26.

Whereas this year, the Savannah Bananas were the headliner for the trio of games held at Harbor Park, in 2025 the Firefighters will be the headliner for the games in Norfolk. The Firefighters will also headline games at the Diamond in Richmond (June 20-21) and Salem (July 11-12). It is the Firefighters’ first headlining tour as part of Banana Ball.

More than 12,000 fans packed Harbor Park earlier this year for each night of games between the Savannah Bananas and the Party Animals.

The 2025 Banana Ball tour will take place from next March through September, with the Savannah Bananas, the Party Animals, the Firefighters and a new team, the Texas Tailgaters.

Banana Ball, which aims to entertain with its brand of baseball that includes dancing, props, trick plays and more, has its own set of rules. One of those rules: if a fan catches a foul ball, it is an out.

If you want to see the actual Savannah Bananas, they’ll make their closest appearances to Hampton Roads in Charlotte, N.C. at Bank of America Stadium June 7, in Washington, D.C. at Nationals Park June 27-28 and Aug. 1-2 at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Md.

For 2026, there will be a new Banana Ball Championship League, with six teams playing a complete Banana Ball schedule of 60 games with new marquee events that will determine standings and a champion.

Tickets for their games start at $35, and Very Important Banana tickets start at $100. The VIB tickets provide behind the scenes access and an up-close meet-and-greet experience with players and characters, with access to better seats and VIB swag.

The Tides announced that the ticket lottery for the trio of games closes Nov. 1. Fans must join the lottery to have the opportunity to buy tickets, but joining the lottery list is not a guarantee that people will be able to buy tickets. A random drawing will take place two months before the event, and if someone’s name is drawn, they’ll be notified and they’ll have the opportunity to buy tickets.

To have a chance to purchase tickets for any of the Banana Ball games, including the ones in Norfolk, you can join the ticket lottery here.
