PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) – A Virginia State University fraternity is suspended and three members have been arrested in connection to a hazing incident, according to Petersburg Police.

Deonte Barkley, George Feggins, and Michael Snipes are members of VSU’s Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. Police say they arrested the men in connection to an off-campus hazing incident that happened on Pocahontas Island.

According to the university, eight students participated in the hazing activity and have been referred to the VSU Office of Judicial Affairs.

VSU says it has zero tolerance for hazing and has suspended the Alpha Phi chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi.
