PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, how does Virginia fair when it comes to helping our single folk?
Virginia is ranked No. 9 for Best State for Singles, according to WalletHub. The states were compared on the basis of three main categories: dating economics, dating opportunities, and romance and fun. Virginia ranks No. 1 in median annual household income.
The study also looks at gender balance of singles, online-dating opportunities, restaurants per capita, recreational activities, openness to relationships, etc.
The top 10 states in order are: Florida, Texas, California, New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, Virginia and New Jersey.
