PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – There’s no shortage of drivers here in Hampton Roads and, according to Forbes, there’s no shortage of angry people behind the wheel in Virginia either.
A new study conducted by Forbes found that Virginia, tied with Indiana, ranked seventh in Forbes “States with the most Confrontational Drivers” list.
Forbes looked at several different categories for the ratings, including weaving in and out of traffic, cutting other cars off, yelling and making threatening gestures, based off of input from drivers in each state.
10 On Your Side spoke with AAA about when you should get the police involved if you are in a situation with an aggressive driver.
“Focus physically, mentally and emotionally on the task at hand, which is driving and driving lawfully and not aggressively, and to really just make sure you have your emotions are in check if you know you’re an aggressive driver,” AAA spokesperson Ryan Adcock said. “Just give yourself an emotional once over before you head out there on the road.”
