VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia Beach police officer was arrested Wednesday and charged for alleged trespassing and stalking.
Lonnie Cain II, an 11-year veteran of the force, has been charged with one count of misdemeanor stalking and two counts of trespassing.
In a press release, police said the 39-year-old was arrested for alleged incidents between March and April of this year.
The Uniform Patrol officer has been placed on administrative assignment pending criminal and administrative investigations.
The department’s Office of Internal Affairs and Detective Bureau are investigating.
