VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A portion of Birdneck Road in Virginia Beach has been reopened after police say a serious two-vehicle crash left two people injured.
Virginia Beach police said in a tweet the road is closed in both directions from the 300 block to Bells Road. An updated tweet sent around 2 p.m. said the roadway was reopened.
Dispatchers said officers were called to the scene just after 11 a.m.
Two people injured in the crash were taken to the hospital. The circumstances of the crash were not immediately clear.
