NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Norfolk Fire Department said a child and adult were rushed to the hospital after their home caught on fire. The fire started at a townhouse on Edward St. near Norview Ave.
Battalion Chief Fred Paquet said the victims have minor injuries. He said first responders received reports about the fire at 12:43 a.m.
“On arrival crews found smoke and flames coming from a 2 story townhouse,” Paquet said.
He said firefighters were able to get flames under control at 1:27 a.m. The Red Cross is helping the residents that are displaced.
