DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – A Nebraska man is facing several charges related to an ongoing human trafficking investigation in Durham, police said.

According to the Durham Police Department, officers arrested 39-year-old Jerry Demario Guess of Falls City, Nebraska, charging him with three counts of human trafficking an adult victim.

Police said the investigation is into human trafficking in Durham and other locations across the country, and Guess is being charged in three separate incidents that occurred earlier this year.

He was taken into custody on Oct. 18 and is now held in the Durham County Jail under a $6 million bond.

Police said officers are looking to speak to other employees who worked for Guess in Durham, or anyone else who might have information about this case.
