MANTEO, N.C. (WAVY) — A Charlottesville man has been arrested in Manteo for drug possession.
Around 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 23, Dare County deputies stopped a vehicle on I-64 near the Midway intersection.
After establishing probable cause to search the vehicle, deputies found and seized psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.
Deputies arrested 26-year-old Joshua R. Walenten of Charlottesville and charged him with felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance.
Walenten was later issued a $3,000 secured bond in connection with these charges.
