New nonstop flight service takes off at Richmond International Airport

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A new nonstop flight service officially “took off” at Richmond International Airport in Henrico County on Friday, promising to carry passengers between Richmond and Florida two days a week.

On Friday, Nov. 22, Breeze Airways launched a new nonstop service between Sarasota-Bradenton, Florida, and the Richmond International Airport.

Starting Friday, interested passengers can book one of these flights on Mondays and Fridays. You can browse Breeze Airway’s flight offerings online.

“We’re thrilled to add another nonstop from Richmond today to Sarasota-Bradenton,” said Breeze Airways’ CEO David Neeleman in a Nov. 22 press release. “It’s been three years since we started service from Richmond and we’ve grown quickly to now offer 14 destinations from the city.”
