HERTFORD, N.C. (WAVY) — Itching to get your hands some big bucks? A scratch-off might be just the ticket.
It certainly was for Odessa Chamblee of Ahoskie. She took a chance on a scratch-off and won $2 million.
Chamblee had the option of receiving her winnings in an annuity that paid $100,000 over 20 years or a lump sum of $1.2 million. She chose the lump sum and took home $858,006 after state and federal taxes.
Chamblee bought her lucky 100X the Cash ticket at the Village Store on N.C. 41 in Wallace.
