PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Portsmouth Police are investigating a shooting in the Shea Terrace section of the city that left a man seriously wounded.
According to a tweet from Portsmouth Police, the shooting happened just after 1 a.m. in the 120 block of Sandpiper Drive.
Medics took the man to a local hospital for treatment.
Police say information on a possible suspect or the motive for the shooting was not immediately available.
