ISLE OF WIGHT, Va. (WAVY) — A man convicted in a 2015 Isle of Wight County murder is facing more than three decades in prison.
A jury convicted Eric Saub of second-degree murder for the death of Jean Marie Smith. Saub, who had long professed his innocence, represented himself in the trial.
Saub got 30 years for second-degree murder and three years for use of a firearm in the commission of a felony — which is what jurors had recommended.
