CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — One of two men suspected of selling drugs out of a smoke shop in Chesapeake has pleaded guilty more than a month after initially claiming his innocence.
William Barnes pleaded guilty Tuesday to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 5-fluoro-ADB. He is scheduled for sentencing on July 24.
Court documents allege Barnes, 55, and 24-year-old Andrew Murphy conspired to sell drugs under names that included “Brain Freeze” and “Dr. Feel Good.”
Barnes and Murphy both pleaded not guilty in separate hearings earlier this year. An arraignment hearing for Murphy was moved to May 8.
