PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Portsmouth police have made an arrest after an early Saturday morning shooting that left a man dead.

Aake J. Russan, 20, of Portsmouth has been charged with first-degree murder, use a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a violent felon. Police say he turned himself in at 2:30 Monday afternoon without incident. 

Officers responded to the shooting in the 3700 block of Turnpike Road around 1:15 a.m. Saturday and found a man, identified as Delvin Antonio Crosby, with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
