HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Police have arrested a man in connection to a burglary at a Hampton home that led to a stabbing.
The incident happened at an apartment complex on Haverford Court, near Magruder Boulevard and Interstate 64, on Feb. 28.
Police say forced a suspect foreced his way inside a home, where he tried to assault a man and woman. Both the male victim and a suspect, 30-year-old Christopher Garrett, ended up with stab wounds.
The woman was able to run away and get help.
Garrett was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries following the incident.
Police said officers arrested Garrett on March 5, and charged him with aggravated malicious wounding, burglary, possession of burglary tools, domestic assault and battery and strangulation.
