NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A man who allegedly became disorderly at Newport News police headquarters is now facing charges, police say.
Christopher Warren McVey was charged following an incident on Oct. 23.
Police say McVey, 40, left personal property at the headquarters, even though he had been told not to do so in the past. McVey’s property was confiscated.
According to police, McVey entered headquarters and became disorderly in the lobby. McVey was asked to stop, but police said he continued to be “disorderly and disruptive.”

Police charged the 40-year-old with disorderly conduct and trespassing.
This is not McVey’s first run-in with police. McVey faced three charges after a scuffle inside a Chesapeake grocery store last year. He was found not guilty of assault, but was convicted on the charges of obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct and was fined.
