Video captured Chesapeake police chase in busy shopping area

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A woman fell out of an SUV during a police chase that started at a poplar Chesapeake shopping center last week.

Police say the woman and a male driver were fleeing from the shopping area in the 1500 block of Sam’s Circle off Battlefield Blvd. after a reported theft from a business. It all happened around 6:20 p.m.

Video sent in by a WAVY viewer shows the SUV make a sharp turn in an apparent attempt to elude police — with a police vehicle close behind. The woman was still in the vehicle at the time, with the passenger’s side door open.

Police say the male driver kept driving after the woman fell out of the vehicle, and police eventually ended the pursuit after losing sight of the SUV in the area of Military Highway South and I-464.

The woman, 47-year-old Rosalyn L. Quinn, is now facing several charges related to the theft, police say. She also faces a drug possession charge.

The male suspect, 50-year-old Lydell Davonne Webb, meanwhile is still wanted, and faces charges of reckless driving, felony eluding and robbery.
