WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — Deputies say they are searching for a man who should be considered “armed and dangerous” and is wanted in connection with a shooting that left one person with injuries Saturday morning.
York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office says at about 10:55 a.m. deputies responded to the 800 block of Rochambeau Drive in Williamsburg for the incident.
One man was injured and transported to a local hospital.
Sheriff’s Office posted to Facebook at about 9:45 p.m. saying 29-year-old Alexander E. Berkeley of James City County is wanted in connection with the shooting.
Deputies say Berkeley has warrants out of York County for two counts of attempted murder, one count of aggravated malicious wounding, one count of attempted malicious wounding, one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Berkeley should be considered to be armed and dangerous, according to a statement released by the department Saturday evening.
The incident is still under investigation but officials say it appears to be an “isolated incident.”
