PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Blackout Wednesday is the day before Thanksgiving, according to Drive Safe Hampton Roads’ the levels of alcohol consumption on this day rival St. Patrick’s Day.
Drive Safe Hampton Roads is teaming up with Lyft to make sure everyone makes it to the Thanksgiving table. The promo code will be posted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27 and is good until 3 a.m. Thanksgiving Day. Hampton Roads residents who are at least 21-years-old who partake in alcohol, legal drugs, or illegal drugs can receive a $15 credit for a Lyft ride home.
To use the credit, riders have to open the “Payment” tab in the Lyft app and tap “Add Lyft Pass”. That is where riders can enter the code they receive from the Drive Safe Hampton Roads website.
