VIRIGNIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The Virginia Beach Fire Department continues to provides updates on the heroic efforts being performed by the Virginia Task Force Two US&R after Hurricane Helene devasted much of the country.
The task force continues to conduct primary searches in southern Mitchell County, NC, as well as boat operations.
The crews came across this submerged pickup truck, but didn’t find anyone in the vicinity.
The team is working to complete all primaries in the next day or two. They will then coordinate with Mitchell County to determine which areas to concentrate secondary searches on.
