VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A logging truck snatched down power lines and traffic lights at the intersection of Lynnhaven Parkway and Indian River Road Tuesday.
Around 9:22 a.m. police dispatch received a call about a logging truck that had hit a traffic light at the intersection of Lynnhaven Parkway and Indian River Road.
Consequently, police closed the section of Lynnhaven Parkway between Bridle Creek Boulevard and Indian River Road while crews work to restore the powerlines.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area and follow the posted detours. Police said the driver of the logging truck was issued a summons for over-height.
No one was hurt in the incident.
