VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – The Virginia Beach Fire Department responded to a residential fire late Sunday night.
According to officials, crews were dispatched to the 1000 block of Smoke Tree Lane, near Holland Road, just after 9:30 p.m.
Crews arrived to the scene and found heavy smoke coming from a two-story townhome.
The fire was considered under control by 10:03 p.m., according to VBFD.
No injuries were reported during the incident, but one adult and two children were displaced. The Red Cross has been called to assist the family displaced.
The origin of the fire was found to be in the kitchen, but the cause remains under investigation.
