VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a vehicle and a bicyclist at Princess Anne Road and Lynnhaven Parkway Tuesday evening.
Police said the call came in around 6:42 p.m.
On Wednesday, Virginia Beach police confirmed to WAVY that the crash was fatal. The victim is a man, but police have not released his age or name.
However, a family member reached out to WAVY and said the victim’s name was James Christopher Beckles IV, and said he was 23.
The family member provided the following image, and granted permission for use.
Virginia Beach Police’s Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the crash.
