VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Dates for the 2025 Something in the Water (SITW) Festival have been requested, according to Virginia Beach officials.
Ali Weatherton, spokesperson for Virginia Beach, told 10 On Your Side that SITW organizers requested April 26-27 to be the dates for the festival.
“We can confirm Something in the Water organizers requested April 26 & 27 as the dates for the festival,” Weatherton said. “We plan to move forward with planning to ensure a safe and successful event for the community while the contract is being finalized.”
This comes after Virginia Beach leaders said they felt ‘blindsided’ by the organizers’ decision to postpone the festival less than a month before it was scheduled to take place on Oct. 12-13.
Councilmembers then decided to impose several conditions in order for the city to financially support the festival, including the announcement of the festival’s line up and ticket sales prior to the end of 2024.
