VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Police say a pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Virginia Beach Sunday evening.
Virginia Beach first reported about the crash around 7:20 p.m. Sunday on Laskin Road near Fremac Drive.
Police say the pedestrian was walking on the portion of the roadway which is currently a construction zone. The driver did not see the pedestrian and struck him.
The pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.
Police say the driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation. There are no charges pending at this time regarding the crash.
