VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A new tool used this July 4 holiday to report fireworks in Virginia Beach has come back with the results, police said.
Virginia Beach Police Department reported that 154 individuals used the new reporting form to report illegal fireworks during the period of July 3-7. On July 4, 117 incidents were reported in the city.
This process helped decrease the number of calls 911 in the city received.
