VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – The Holiday Parade at the Beach is set to return for its 30th year at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

The parade is scheduled to take place on Dec. 7 at 5:30 p.m. along Atlantic Avenue from 15th to 25th Street. For 2024, BayPort Credit Union will join as the title sponsor of the event.

“BayPort loves supporting fun events that bring our community together, especially during the holiday season,” BayPort President and CEO Jim Mears said. “This year, we are excited to be the title sponsor of the festive Holiday Parade at the Beach, a local favorite. We hope everyone will come out to celebrate the joy of the season with us.”

Guests at the parade will be able to experience giant balloons, lighted floats, marching bands, equestrian units, fire trucks, performing dance groups and more!

“As the representative of the Oceanfront, I’m proud to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Holiday Parade at the Beach,” Councilman Worth Remick said. “This cherished event is a beloved tradition that brings our community together, lighting up our streets with joy and holiday spirit. I have fond memories of biking alongside friends and family during the ‘bike nights’ of the Holiday Lights and the Beach, and there’s nothing quite like seeing our community come together to share in the magic of the season. This parade is a celebration of togetherness, tradition, and the vibrant spirit that makes Virginia Beach so special. I look forward to seeing everyone out there, creating new memories and celebrating the holidays with us.”

Those interested in participating in the parade have until Nov. 11 to apply using the link here.
