VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia Beach man has been charged with murder after a 19-year-old man was found shot to death Sunday morning inside a car just off Newtown Road.
42-year-old Mickey Walker II is also charged with use of firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a schedule I or II drug, sale of possess a controlled substance and possession of a firearm while in possession of drugs.
Officials say they received a call for a gunshot wound in 5600 block of Summit Arch around 11:30 a.m., and found 19-year-old Davion Bernard Bush dead inside a car.
“It’s crazy and sad, it’s real sad,” said Sarah Baker, a neighbor. “God’s not liking this that’s for sure, people are taking people’s lives for no reason at all. It’s sad. I just wish that we all could get along, cause this is not of God,” said Baker.
10 On Your Side spoke with a close family member, who did not want to go on camera. They did say that they were devastated and trying to make sense of it all.
Neighbors tell us they are shocked.
“I can’t judge nobody, you know you gotta leave that up to God, but let God do whatever he chooses or however he chooses to punish this person or whoever,” Baker said.
Police also arrested 20-year-old Mickey Koji Saiheir Walker, of Virginia Beach, in connection to the incident. He’s been charged with sale, distribute marijuana, possession of a schedule I or II drug and possession of a firearm while in possession of drugs.
Mickey Walker II declined a request for an interview at the jail Monday.
