VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – One person was injured in a shooting on Saturday night in the area of 22nd and Atlantic Avenue, unrelated to Something in the Water, police say.
Virginia Beach police announced at 11:12 p.m. on Twitter that they were investigating the shooting, and that one person was transported to a local hospital. That person was a Norfolk woman, and her injury is not considered life-threatening, police said.
Police didn’t initially share what time the shooting happened, but said in an update on Sunday afternoon that the call was made by officers in the area around 10:40 p.m.
No other details have been released about the shooting, including a suspect, but the investigation is ongoing.
