SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Two people have been displaced after a fire in Suffolk on Tuesday morning.
According to officials, crews were dispatched to the 100 block of South 5th Street just after 7:40 a.m. for reports of a residential structure fire.
Crews arrived to the scene and found a single-story home with smoke coming from the front door. Upon entering the house, crews found the contents in a front bedroom on fire and initiated an aggressive interior attack.
The occupants of the home were able to evacuate prior to the arrival of emergency crews and no injuries were reported.
