Suffolk police searching for suspect after woman was stabbed in neck

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police are searching for a suspect in connection to the stabbing of a woman in Suffolk on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, around 9:50 p.m., Suffolk police responded to the 130 block of Lee Street for a medic assist call. Upon arrival, officers found a woman with stab wounds to the neck. She was transported to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The suspect was identified as 44-year-old Michael Catron of Suffolk.

He is wanted in connection to the incident and is facing charges of aggravated malicious wounding, abduction and kidnapping, concealing/destroying evident of a felony and assault and battery.
