Suffolk nonprofit to host open forum for mayoral and city council candidates

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Suffolk nonprofit, Citizens Voice will host an open forum for mayoral and city council candidates on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

The forum will devote approximately 50 minutes to the mayoral candidates and 50 minutes to the city council candidates with a brief intermission between.


During the forum, citizens have the opportunity to submit written questions for the moderator to ask the candidates.

Those unable to attend in person will be able to watch the forum on the Citizens Voice Facebook page.

The forum takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Comfort Suites Suffolk-Chesapeake, 5409 Plummer Blvd. Doors will open at 6 p.m. to provide citizens time to submit their written questions.
