SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — One person was injured after being shot in Suffolk Friday evening, police said.
Suffolk Police said that, around 6:30 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Wellons Street for reports of gunshots in the area. After checking the area, police did not find any victims.
Around 6:55 p.m., police said a victim with a gunshot wound was reported to be at a local hospital, and was found to be suffering a non life-threatening injury.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
