SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Come out and celebrate this year’s National Night Out in the City of Suffolk this Tuesday.

The Suffolk Police, Suffolk Public Schools, Fire & Rescue, Commonwealth Attorney, Sheriff’s Office and the Western Tidewater Regional Jail have teamed up together to visit all registered locations with eight caravan motorcades.

All local business, civic leagues churches, homeowner’s and non-profits will host events in their neighborhoods. All participating community locations can be found here.

The event is hosting a Send-off Ceremony, starting Aug. 6 at 5 p.m. at the City Council Chamber located at 442 W. Washington St. All members of the media and public are welcome to attend.

The Suffolk National Night Out Committee is giving a brief ceremony that will include speeches from the public safety official and Suffolk Mayor Michael Duman.

Motorcade tours will depart from the City Hall and visit the various locations in the community.
