2 injured in fiery Suffolk crash

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Two people were injured after a single-vehicle crash on White Marsh Road in Suffolk Monday afternoon that resulted in a fire and entrapment, Suffolk Fire & Rescue said.

Suffolk Fire & Rescue and Suffolk Police responded to the crash in the 1800 block of White Marsh Road at 3:28 p.m., with fire crews arriving to find heavy fire visible from a single vehicle. Everyone inside the vehicle was out by the time crews arrived, Suffolk Fire & Rescue said.

The fire was under control by 3:40 p.m., and two people inside the car were taken to an area hospital with moderate injuries.
