PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A man has been arrested in connection to last Friday’s homicide on Dale Drive, Portsmouth Police said.
Marquise Toraz Riddick-Whitfield, 23, has been charged with aggravated murder, attempted robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, shooting in committing or attempting a felony and shooting with intent to maim or kill.
Portsmouth Police announced the arrest late Monday evening.
Riddick-Whitfield had previously been identified as a person of interest in connection to the Dale Drive shooting that left 28-year-old Daniel Rodgers dead last Friday.
Police also need the public’s assistance in identifying two unknown male suspects captured in surveillance footage of the incident.
