PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — The last of three suspects connected to the murder of Arthur Lee Harris Jr. is in custody, according to Portsmouth police.

On Monday, 26-year-old Lavell Lashae Newton turned himself into police.

Police previously arrested 24-year-old Brian Antwan Peoples and 24-year-old Jakobi Kyree Taylor. Both men are being held in the Portsmouth City Jail without bond.

Police say the three suspects killed Arthur Lee Harris Jr. on Feb. 9 in the 3800 block of Augustine Circle. Harris was found with a gunshot wound at the scene and later died at the hospital.

All three suspects have been charged with 1st degree murder and other firearm-related offenses.
