PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Portsmouth police are investigating an overnight shooting that left a man with life-threatening injuries.
Just before 3 a.m. Sunday, police were called to the 300 block of High Street for the report of a shooting.
When officers arrived on the scene they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was rushed to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Pictures from the scene show the area between Court Street and High Street blocked while police investigate the scene.
