Police say they received a call around 5:53 a.m. regarding a shooting at the River Walk Inn near the 300 block of Effingham Street. That is near Crawford Parkway, between London Boulevard and the naval hospital.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a woman with a life-threatening gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital and remains in critical condition.

A second victim, 40-year-old David Branch, was found on the scene with a fatal gunshot wound.

No arrests have been made, but detectives were looking for a 32-year-old man who was considered a person of interest. Police on Friday said he was no longer considered a person of interest.

Police also released a surveillance photo of two unknown suspects they are trying to identify.
